Meet the experienced and friendly doctors who make You & Eyes the leading provider of vision care products and services in Central Florida.

Thanh (Kai) Nguyen, O.D.

Dr. Nguyen was born in Vietnam.  He and his family came to the United States in 1992 and currently reside in Orlando, FL.  Dr. Nguyen graduated from Edgewater High school and attended the University of Florida in 2002.

He received his Doctor of Optometry Degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in 2009. He graduated from Nova with honors, including being on the Dean’s list and a member of Beta Sigma Kappa honor society.

Dr. Nguyen has work experience in primary care optometry, ocular diseases, strabismus/amblyopia, ocular surgeries, vision therapy, geriatric, pediatric, and contact lens advancements.  He enjoys hanging out with his family and friends, playing sports, watching movies, listening to music, and practicing optometry.

 

Vi Nguyen, O.D.

Dr. Vi Nguyen (or “Dr. Vi”) was born in Orange County, CA, however moved to Orlando, FL shortly after where she attended MetroWest Elementary School, Gotha Middle School, and Olympia High School. Having been raised in southwest Orlando, she is thrilled to be a primary eye care provider in the same community that she grew up in.

Dr. Nguyen received her Bachelors of Science Degree from Nova Southeastern University and Doctor of Optometry Degree from the University of the Incarnate Word – Rosenberg School of Optometry. She underwent extensive clinical training at the UIW Eyecare Institute in San Antonio, TX., Community Eye Clinic in Fort. Worth, TX., and Veterans Affairs Hospital in Jacksonville, FL with focus in ocular disease, low vision, and specialty contact lens fitting.

As a board-certified and licensed optometric physician, Dr. Nguyen is able to treat and manage many ocular conditions including refractive correction, glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye disease, strabismus/amblyopia, and more. She utilizes the latest and advanced technologies in the practice to ensure the best care for her patients. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, and Central Florida Society of Optometric Physicians.

During her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, and DIY projects. She has a toddler that both her and her husband love very much. Dr. Nguyen loves meeting new people and can’t wait to SEE you!
